Inland Empire Child Photography {Golden light, Bubbles, and a Princess with a Parasol}

In Japanese, the name Sakura means “Cherry Blossom”, and that name couldn’t describe her any better. I absolutely adore this little one. She’s my brother-in-laws neice, which makes her (almost?) family. Either way, we love her to pieces. My daughter and her and very good friends. They will play for HOURS on end, giggling, running, telling secrets.

We did this session just in time to catch the last of the super dreamy, golden, Fall light, just before the rain set in only a couple of days later.

Of course, we had to get a friendship shot of Sakura and my daughter while we were at it…..

Inland Empire Child Photography {Sweet Dollface}

She really is the epitome of a teeny, tiny, little porcelain doll! My niece, Corissa…she has blessed our family beyond measure. Last month she turned 1, and we celebrated with a special shoot just for her.

I finally got to use a location I’ve been stalking for almost a year now. I was so glad I finally used it! B-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l. It’s also just around the corner from where we’re considering moving to this coming year. Score!

As for Corissa, I couldn’t have had more fun with her. She brings sunshine to our life in a major way. We love you Corissa! Happy 1st Birthday!

 I love her for all her faces! She’s got the perfect serious stare……And the perfect happy grin!!We also had some fun inside on a rainy day, just us girls dressing up…Later that week, we headed outside for some good ‘ol California sun…If anyone deserves angel wings, it certainly is this one…

Just testing out some new props with Dakota…

Oh, and a frightened, shaking chihuahua. I don’t know what to tell you all. Something about this one just tickles me…

Also, lots of new changes around here! First of all, new watermark and bio section= <3<3<3 The “Investment” and “Session Info” section of the website has been totally revamped which I’m really excited about. Now clients get a lot more for their money and special perks and discounts. Also, I’ve added a Wardrobe Inspiration Page! And there’s a Display Inspiration Page coming soon. That I’m also really excited about. I think it’s so cool to offer clients lots of options and ideas so they get the most out of their session.

I’m surprised I even got all this up considering we are in the middle of moving! We’ve got one week left and about a bazillion boxes to go. Yay. I love disarray.

Not.

Inland Empire Child Photography {My Babes}

Nothing better than spending the day watching your babies run around bare foot, soaking in the last drops of the warm summer sun. I’m cherishing these moments, and really looking forward to meeting our winter baby in February! I know it won’t be long until I can add some sweet newborn shots to the mix!!

Inland Empire Wedding Photography

One of the most beautiful families I know…they have not only bonded together their two lives, but also five amazing children. I feel like a lot of the time you can read volumes about a family through the pages of their children’s eyes. Not to say that children always exemplify their upbringing, because Lord knows my can act a mess at times! However, when you see a group of kids, especially the older ones, teenagers, that have a respect and love for their family, and carry themselves peacefully, you can surely look at their parents and know that they’ve instilled harmony into their children’s hearts. Lorell wears many hats.

This wedding was everything that the family is… harmonious, joy-filled and truthful. It was one of the most beautiful evenings I have had the honor of being a part of.

Coming Soon…Music in the Mountains

I can not wait to share this amazing family and their beautiful, heartfelt wedding in the sunkissed California mountains. Picture this…barefoot bride, old wooden cabin deck creaking under foot, friends, family, and a whole lot of acoustic music filling the fresh mountain air.

For now, a glowy preview for a couple that makes me feel blessed to be a photographer…

Inland Empire Boudoir Photography

Rochelle is a very good, long time friend of mine. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing her for 16 years now. When she asked me to do a boudoir shoot for her, I was more than overjoyed for three reasons; one…she is the type of person that is willing to try ANYTHING. And I mean anything. Even getting very scantily clad in the middle of a ravine! Two…her and I always have fun together. No matter what we’re doing, there is always an abundance of laughing and giggling going on! As well as some dry sarcasm. Something we are both well known for ;) And finally, three…because hello! She is GORGEOUS!!

Rochelle’s husband happens to love this image of mine. So she wanted to do something to incorporate the same red chair as a surprise for him. We were very grateful for my amazing husband, who lugged this huge brick of an armchair down the ravine banks for us! Not only did we decide to use the red chair, but also wanted to incorporate a very whimsical feel to the session with some white lanterns. This turned out to be both her and my favorite aspect of the shoot.

Thanks Rochelle for inviting me to shoot this session for you! I had SO much fun and can’t wait for hubby to get his first look at your amazing session!

xoxo

I shot this next one through some low branches of a tree. I love the way it made the outer edges look like ripples of water!

*Siiiigh* My fav shot…

San Diego County Family Photography

*Siiigh* Oh California…how I love thee.  Nothing says heaven better than tiny toes snuggled in the warm sand and wispy strands of hair basking in the golden sunlight.

Kaylyn and Daniel are very dear repeat clients. I first met Kaylyn when she was pregnant with Logan and we became instant friends. Soon after I got to meet baby Logan for the first time for his newborn session and was in loooove. That full head of blond hair left me swooning! And now, a happy family of one, two, three, four….surprise!!! FIVE! I was so happy when Kaylyn got a hold of me to tell me she was pregnant with beautiful baby #3! And even more overjoyed that she choose me to capture such a special time in their lives together.

Not only is it a special moment in their lives because of the addition of their third baby, but also because Daniel serves in the marines and only weeks after this session will be starting a seven month tour including Guam, Afghanistan and Hawaii among many other places. I think if I had to choose the most touching (and heart tugging) session I’ve ever done, it would be this one. This family has such an incredible amount of love and affection for one another. That, coupled with the fact that Daniel was merely weeks away from deployment, left me with a tiny lump in my throat more than once watching him cuddle his little loves.

I sincerely hope that Kaylyn, Daniel, Bennett and Logan will cherish these images of their beautiful family together and always remember that day for exactly what it was…a time of togetherness. Hope. Love. Happiness. Things that even miles can’t take from them.
